hi waste

okay, this happened to me a little while ago, but something about it struck me as so odd that it has lingered.

i was complimented on the high waist of my jeans.

now i am not one of those pretty girls that tries to dress ugly or make her own clothes. i wear things, the same things, forever until they can't be worn. this means sometimes they may be hip to you kids and sometimes they may not, but its the same freakin pair of pants. i had some rock n roller dude compliment the high waist of my pants and i was so confused i just walked away.

i don't consider my pants to have a high waist at all. so this leads me to believe that fashion has now made acceptable the exposure of ass crack (i heard the term "coin slot" used to describe this phenomenon) and pubic hair, so my waist is high by comparison. i didn't like this dude thinking i was making a statement. i'm just wearing these nice pants that cover my butt and pubic region in their entirety, thank you very much. now go check your hair in the bathroom, ladyboy.

I believe your pants to be appropriately placed. I also believe that your utilitarian ways of wearing clothing may in fact be, albeit unintended, a statement in and of itself. As an empath, I believe your statement is very close to: Please stop with taking sensationalist photographs until I have removed my garmets for all to see.

well, if they were high-waisted AND skinny jeans, then you might be saying something.
